Healthwatch are an independent organisation who listen to feedback about people’s experiences of health and care services.
We are not employed by these services, so we can challenge them, be a critical friend and let them know if they work or not for everyone who needs them.
We do this in lots of different ways and our amazing volunteers help us with this.
If this is something, you might be interested in there are many ways you can get involved.
You can be a:
Home based digital volunteer, using your own social media to
- Connect to local groups and collect feedback about people’s experiences of health and care services.
- Share posts and information about the work we do, activities in the local area and encourage people to take part in our consultations.
- Check digital communications about health and care services for example visit GP websites and tell us how accessible they are.
Or become a Community Engagement Volunteer and go out and about in the local area, talking to people about their experiences of local health and care services, or raising awareness of Healthwatch in public places or at events we attend.
And finally, you can be one of our Research Volunteers helping us with research, out in the community or online.
